Thankfully

The heat has died down a bit, which we really needed. We are quite wimpy up here when it comes to "heat" Anything above 80 and we launch into complain mode very quickly.

The fun continues as Sofia now has her new play spot--the backyard. She can spend hours out there and does not seem to become uninterested with all her toys outside.

We are getting ready for a weekend trip, as we head to Portland on Thursday. We fly to the Bay Area on Friday for Uncle Jimmy's big wedding. We will get to show off our big girl who will get to show off all her motor skills that our friends/family down there have not seen.

We hot 95 today and it was awful!!! Neither Jane or I like it past 80 at all. But anyway--we made it through the day. Here is some video from this evening where we hung out in the backyard. Sofia was running around like normal. She was very helpful (trying) to water some of the plants.

Happy Mothers Day

We had a nice brunch this morning---13 adults, 2 kids, 4 dogs. Thank you to all the mothers out there! Sofia had her play buddy, Taylin come over as well. 

And especially to Jane--without all her hard work, life would not be the same!

Sofia is doing great these days. Her vocabulary keeps growing, and includes the following:

wow,dog,book,blue,bird,bye,hi,mama,dada,look,no,shoe,wee(not quite a word),bath,nana

Her adjustment to sleeping in the crib has been great. She sleeps great and seems to feel right at home in her special crib.

A Happy Birthday to Taylin!

We went to Cousin Taylin's 2nd Birthday party today. Sofia had a blast and wasted no time playing with (o.k. hogging) Taylin's new toys. Note all the pics of Sofia playing with the toys!

She is 19 months today!

I forgot a weeks back to mention we celebrated our 1 year homecoming, which is on April17th.


Sofia has big weekend plans. She has a birthday party tomorrow to attend.
